Your main tasks

Our Mechanical Technician Assistants support the Preassembly Supervisor and Preassembly team in assembly and streamline activities as related to customer projects. You will be required to help to drive a high-quality standard by providing the best quality work possible. You will collaborate with other internal departments to achieve departmental goals. Possesses a positive attitude and helps drive Mikron Culture. A successful Mechanical Technician Assistant will be highly organized and have the ability to quickly & effectively transition between tasks, as needed.

Additional Qualifications and Duties:
  • Understands and demonstrates high quality and high precision in their work
  • Understand and can demonstrate basics of Root Cause Analysis
  • Possesses good analytical and critical thinking for problem solving
  • Makes sound work decisions
  • Shows initiative, is self-motivated and goal oriented to meet deadlines
  • Prepares and installs the standard system Prekit
  • Completes mechanical assembly of standard project assemblies
  • Supports installation of project conveyor circuits


Your profile

Professional & Technical Skills:
  • Highschool Diploma, or equivalent is preferred
  • Ability to read, interpret and work from Engineering Drawings CAD, DWF and PDF
  • Ability to work with hands and has experience using fine motor skill tools like Allen Wrenches
  • Communicates Clearly and in a professional manner
  • Communication is honest and factual and is presented in a professional manner
  • Works well with others and in a team environment
  • Can collaborate well with other, both providing positive feedback and taking feedback from others
  • Must be able to travel as requested
  • Must be available to work overtime
  • May be required to work off shift hours and Holidays
  • Must have a valid state Driver license

Compensation: $21.00 to $25.00 hourly
